Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

Mei in Print

::Updated:: See bottom of post for new info...

Gotta love it when Mattheus bursts into print and isn't just spouting off at the mouth on the (web) pages of Leonardo's Notebook. Ever since Mattheus reigned in the pages of the Genius' notebook, known for backwards and left handed writing ... in Italian, he's managed to pop out a few commentaries pertinent(?) goings on in the world. All of which pale in comparison, but have none the less drawn the attention of readers, supporters, antagonistas, and other Internet bloggers. Already word has been passed to the Notebook, that Mattheus' letter should be appearing tomorrow (12/11/07) in the Charleston Post & Courier, and soon in the Greenville News and the Chesterfield County Link (as early as tomorrow in the Link). Perhaps you remember the original post which is what morphed into the above captured letter. And as is expected, an army of formerly disinterested and disgruntled youth have begun lining up and registering to vote. Don't believe me? I received an e-mail from a fellow blogger and Educator St. Izzy saying this:

Several of my teen students saw your letter this morning and are planning to register so they can vote in the primaries. You've made an impact.
And I'm holding out on more cries of adulation from educators, parents, bloggers and the likes because the teens who would otherwise have felt they weren't part of the process because they couldn't participate in a primary, and would otherwise have not voted, are registering and excited.
Thanks goes out to St. Elizabeth of Cayce for the screen capture.

OH and yes, I'll be giving an interview about our tailgate at the Obama-Winfrey Show tomorrow morning on real radio WCRE (active link to streaming media) online at approximately 7:05-7:30 tomorrow (12/11/07).
