Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

The Brick Testament

In this most holy of seasons, Advent, what better way to show our (ir)reverence then by listening once again to the story of Jesus and his Holy Nativity. And how better to do this than by reading the Brick Testament of the Birth of our Savior.

Perhaps one of the best (worst) sequences is that of the Angel Gabriel making the annunciation unto Mary and her (watered down) Magnificat...

My Soul Exalts the Lord in Praise! “He has wrought mighty deeds with his arm. He has scattered the proud and arrogant.”

“He has cast down rulers from their thrones.”
“And has raised up the lowly.”

So Enjoy!!! And don't forget to check out the Old Testament with all of its prohibitions!!!
