National Geographic has some photos out of new species of fish that was discovered, including this Goliath Tiger Fish.
It's like a bass gone wild (the actual bass being the one on the right fyi), of course we don't have anything like that here in South Carolina's rivers... oh wait, we do, the Alligator Garr.

The Year of the OX
Monday Saw the beginning of the Lunar New Year, and for China it's the Year of the Ox. So Happy New Year to all my friends and those around the world who follow this east asian tradition.

Today we celebrate the happy feast of my Patron Saint, Thomas Aquinas who was known as the Ox. Check out my post from last year on this most illustrious Saint.

Even though it's actually sort of frowned-upon in this day and age to let your cat have kittens or your dog have puppies, the world must have at least one live feed of a litter of infant domesticated mammals at any given time. So this is the live kitten cam that can exist
