Bishop-elect who said Katrina was the fault of 'Gays' withdraws consideration

Actually everyone on both sides of the ideological divide - except the right wing nutters - are pretty relieved over this news. His appointment a few weeks ago slipped in between two other controversies, that of the SSPX rehabilitations and the Legionary of Christ Scandal.

The AP article on the request for withdrawl can be found here. It's now only to see if the Pope actually accepts it.

Sadly you're absolutely right... I'm working on a big post about all of this. About Orthopraxis, Orthodoxy, and extreme ideology. This is disgusting.
