Political shrewdness aside the rumors that Hill may be appointed Secretary of State it has an eerie similiarity to Lincoln's own choice -- Seward, who was the Senator of New York.
The key is New York.
Hillary is the Senator from New York, Seward is from New York -- cue creepy music.
