I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

Character Assassination

I just watched Boogie Man at the Nickelodeon theater this afternoon. It's the story of Lee Atwater the SC native who help transform the Republican party from a party of principled stands into the party of personal attacks and character assassination that has thus far seen it's height under George W. Bush at the hands of Karl Rove, an Atwater disciple - though McCain's campaign is run by Steve Schmidt who is himself Karl Rove's acolyte.

And this from reports today:

The Republican campaign, falling behind Obama in polls, plans to make attacks on Obama's character a centerpiece of presidential candidate John McCain's message with a month remaining before Election Day.

And to show how desperate they are since their positions just don't resonate with the American people -- nearly 100% of their spending is on negative ads.
