Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

A man of integrity

Tim Russert, 58, has passed away with a heart attack. It's incredibly sad because this man has maintained something that is quickly becoming a fleeting notion in the field of Journalism - integrity. He was an icon of the industry and a standard to which all other political reporters are held to. As Andrew Sullivan has written: There were limits to the Russert style of gotcha-interviewing. But he took political accountability to new levels in journalism, and always treated his subjects fairly.

He was a staple in my household all through my years growing up on Sunday mornings before Church.
Truly the world of political journalism has lost one of it's brightest stars. Please pray for his soul's repose (he was a good Catholic who recently met with the Pope during his visit) and especially prayer for his father who survives him as well as his son and numerous other family members.
