Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

A welcome home for a Soldier Dad

A friend was in the lowcountry town of Ladsdent, SC when he saw this banner welcoming home the family's father from war and proclaiming him a Hero.

But if you zoom in a bit and notice that under the center heart some heart felt family member declares of an uknown somebody what they really think...

"You sent my Dad to Afghanistan you Bastard..."

I wonder who they're talking about, I have no idea who it could be; and this is the sentiment of the American People - hard working American People. It's going to be a tough row to ho for any politicians looking to continue "the war."

its interesting that it is afghanistan and not iraq. afghanistan where neither side of the aisle is questioning sending troops there.

good call, if I had to guess it's just "war weariness" that is settling in, and the fact that our forces are stretched so thin that people are doing tour after tour after tour and each tour is lasting longer, longer, and longer.
