What Derby day would be complete without a delicious Kentucky Bourbon Mint Julep. To start take a couple of fresh mint leaves and bruise them with a sprinkle of sugar. Make a simple syrup solution using water and syrup. Add the sugar covered bruised Mint leaves to a 12 oz cup, fill with ice. Add 5oz of your favourite Kentucky Bourbon and about 2 oz of the simple syrup. Stir fully. Add two sprigs of mint as a garnish and there you have it - your perfect Derby day Mint Julep!
