In one of it's big test of competency South Carolina's privatised Commerce Department known as Innoventure, kicked off with great turn out and lots of capital.
The Greenville News had this to say:
Conference founder John Warner of Greenville said 703 people registered to attend this year, up from about 660 last year and an all-time high. He launched InnoVenture in 2004 to pair entrepreneurs with venture capitalists and has developed the conference over the years to include a wider range of business networking activities.
Wow, so when is Gov Sanford and his friend Joe Taylor going to organize and host one of these conferences, from Commerce's website - not any time soon. Way to go stagnant government of South Carolina, thank God for concerned citizens as opposed to these dilettante of our elected (and appointed) leadership.
