Anger prevents Exhumation

Grant unto them Eternal Rest O Lord: apparently that phrase has never applied to saints whose bodies and possessions have been divided and prayed over for nearly 2000 years. NY Times is reporting that some angry Italians are trying to prevent the remains of Padre Pio from going that way.

Supporters of the exhumation say they're doing it to honor the Saint for on the 40th anniversary of his death. A few months back much discussion was in the media as to the reality of his suffering the Stigmata. See here for our coverage and opining.
