Well despite our Politicians, South Carolinians tend to be a prodigious people. So far the state is moving forward with it's WiMax plans. Want to know how it works, see ETV. It should create a boom for the state's economy and give even poor rural communities access to the Internet, while providing a working laboratory for Internet and computer equipment companies. And lets not forget the touted benefits for homeland security!
And how about Peaches? It was aired on NPR Monday a story about the good work at Clemson to turn wasted peaches into usable energy. Apparently that project is picking up steam.
And in other environmentally sound energy production news. Although I'm not a huge fan, yes even I question the benefits of it, an Ethanol Plant is going to be opened in North Charleston. Speaking of Plants opening, USC's first-in-the-nation Biomass power plant is opening this week, and they look to be at full steam within two weeks.
Big news for SC's knowledge and green economies.
