Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

Circling the Wagons?

"No one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition!" That is a favorite line of mine from Monty Python and in a startling revelation from the City of God (for purposes of Geography, it sits atop a hill naturally) it appears that an American Theologian may be under investigation - heresy anyone? Needless to say that there probably won't be any Auto De Fe's going on anytime soon, but it does bring to the forefront the ever pendulous movement of Catholic Ideology on this our Emmaus Road (Does one walk to the left, walk to the right, or find a way to casually skip down the middle?). See Gashwin for more in depth discussion and academic understanding. Speaking of heresy, excommunication and all things Catholic drab Whispers in the Loggia reports that Archbishop Milingo, the guy who got married in a Moonist mass marriage ceremony released a statement categorically denying that he has become a Moonist. His marriage and subsequent behavior has frustrated many people on the Hill, and brings confusion to many of the Faithful especially those in Africa. On the positive side though (?) his actions have raised awareness of the idea of a married clergy which many in the Latin Church, at least in "the old West" are beginning to support.
