Leonardo"s Notebook by Mattheus Mei

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

Is Kevin Bryant operating under a new pseudonym?

(h/t Waldo)

I don't think Sen. Kevin Bryant is operating under the pseudonym Conservative Libertarian, nor do I believe necessarily that he would post such an awful image - but he did post another image that caused as much, and actually more controversy.
But this image, much like Sen. Bryant's came along with it's own colour commentary and explanation. (via Washington Scandal)
And much like Kevin Bryant's walking back on the image and his own scurrilous comments so does this blogger. In the case of the Conservative Libertarian he says,
Well, it is gone. I’ll tell you why. The point of the posting was being lost and the post itself was becoming the story. Which I never wanted to happen.
This is what Kevin wrote,
As this picture has gotten plenty of attention, I would rather change the focus of this discussion to Sen. Obama’s record on National Security. Please see the post above.
In that "post above" Bryant laments,

The posting, not surprisingly, only drew out the virulent and vulgar members of the liberal left whose immediate reaction to any criticism of their candidate includes charges of ignorance and bigotry. This reminds us of their criticism of those who cling to our guns and religion and strikes me only as par for the course.

I have no regrets from this picture, however, I’m sure that a further examination of Obama’s foreign (and domestic) policies must occur in order that voters might truly understand the vast, vast differences between him and Sen. John McCain. I refuse to cower to the cultural police who evermore seek to censor our political discussion.

And in like mind CL responds to his "liberal detractors" with,

The point is, I made the far left have a knee jerk reaction. I also gave them something to talk about.

Again, as I stated in the actual posting itself, I never, ever wished any harm come to Obama, at all. I was simply making a point and doing exactly what the left is doing to Sarah Palin.

So, even though this is probably not the work of Kevin Bryant, the authors share the same ideological rigidity and utter disdain for their political opposition that they so claim to be victims of.
And while they both may complain about the churlishness of the rumors facing their own candidates - especially their Vice Presidential candidate, to assign a level of equivalence between accusations of misconduct that may cause guffaws and hair pulling and ties to terrorists that solicit cries to kill the candidate, such evidences the carelessness and lack of regard that they so strenuously protest.

Nice comparison. And excellent use of 'churlish'
