This plan is sooo much worse than even the house plan - but then again I suppose you've got to 'sweeten' the pot to satisfy the House Republicans even if it causes a democratic revolt and extra deficit spending to please the Republicans...

It is amazing how twisted this system has become... Our founding fathers are all turning in their graves. This is not a partisan issue it is a issue that will affect every American directly. Unfortunately, since the bill was struck down in the house, congress decided to "sweeten the pot" much like a southern lady adds pork fat to any vegetable. The problem is while the fat makes the vegetable easy to swallow, you now have to work extra hard to keep that fat off your mid section. Perhaps the real cause of all this mess is all the fat that each party attaches to every bill in order to win the enough votes to get it on the presidents desk. Instead of doing what should be done, and compromising on the bill to the point where bill wil;l pass on its own merits, and not the fat that is added. You can accuse the republicans all you want, but only if you refer to the democrats as pots!
I do not agree with the bail out/ rescue plan... perhaps it is time to have separation of business and government, like we have the supposed separation of church and government.
