Senator Jim DeMint Demented announced today that he's not afraid to shut down the federal government if the Democrats don't reconvene Congress and lift the ban on offshore drilling.

This guy really is a F*cktard folks, that's all I can say. Those comparisons to Jesse Helms don't go far enough.

DeMint of course is to drunk off the blood of his enemies to realize that South Carolina doesn't have any oil off the coast, or to paraphrase the geologists we don't even have a pot to piss in when it comes to prospects off our coast.

Oh and by the way, just to let everyone know remind them this D*ck-wad voted against PEPFAR (thankfully it passed anyway) and said that it's a waste of money to spend so much on AIDS research and prevention when we're in an economic crisis. Funny how he'd rather not spend money to save lives world around, but is more than fine with spending money intended to kill people and place our troops in harms way (Iraq).
