I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

Researcher: Humans will marry Robots

Mattheus Mei: The Tin man divorces the lion because he wouldn't "lubricate his ax"

Apparently because of marriage trends lately one day people will wed robots. Opposite sex, same sex, no sex. Nothing says passion like the feel of cold steel or textured plastics.

David Levy, a British artificial intelligence researcher at the college, wrote in his thesis, "Intimate Relationships with Artificial Partners," that trends in robotics and shifting attitudes on marriage are likely to result in sophisticated robots that will eventually be seen as suitable marriage partners.

Riiiight... leave it to the Dutch to award someone a Doctorate degree based on this original and thought provoking research.
